Mask no longer required
3/2/2022
TOLEDO, OH — The Board of Lucas County Commissioners today lifted the coronavirus restrictions to
enter Huntington Center and Glass City Center. Effective immediately, people attending Toledo Walleye
games and other events in the two county-owned buildings will not be required to wear masks or show any proof of vaccination.
The Commissioners will continue to offer the opportunity for fans attending Toledo Walleye games in Huntington Center to receive vaccinations and boosters. People who participate in the free vaccine clinic
will have a chance to win Walleye merchandise, gift cards, and/or game tickets.
The Commissioners have allocated $1,000 per game to fund these incentives, for a total of up to $33,000
during this Toledo Walleye season. The funding is possible because of the federal American Rescue Plan
Act. Fans should look for the vaccine clinic near Section 105 at the Huntington Center

Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Toledo!
9/10/2021
101.5 The River, Barney’s Convenience Marts, Tireman Auto Service Centers
and Live Nation are proud to announce Trans-Siberian Orchestra is back! That’s right, the phenomenon that started it all, in the city that launched the rock holiday experience for the entire family, Christmas Eve and Other Stories. Huntington Center will host two spectacular shows Friday, December 3rd (4pm & 8pm and show times) Thursday, December 30th at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, September 17th, 10am with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Toledo Zoo and Aquarium conservation efforts.
“Christmas Eve and Other Stories” is based on the triple-platinum album of the same name and follows a story by TSO’s late founder/composer/lyricist Paul O’Neill. In keeping with the classic line “If You Want To Arrange It, This World You Can Change It,” the story is set on Christmas Eve when a young angel is sent to Earth to bring back what is best representative of humanity. Following favorite TSO themes of “strangers helping strangers” and “the kindness of others,” “Christmas Eve & Other Stories” takes listeners all over the world to help reunite a young girl with her distraught father. The album and tour feature such fan-favorites as “Ornament” and the epic “Old City Bar,” both of which have not been performed live in recent years. The rock opera also features such TSO classics as “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” “O’ Come All Ye Faithful,” “Good King Joy,” “Promises To Keep,” and “This Christmas Day.” Additionally, the tour will enjoy a new second set containing some of TSO’s greatest hits and fan-pleasers including “Christmas Canon,” “Wizards In Winter” and many more.

WALLEYE LOOK TO BEGIN 2020-21 SEASON IN FEBRUARY
12/8/2020
The ECHL Board of Governors, in conjunction with the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, have approved the opportunity for the Toledo Walleye and Fort Wayne Komets to participate in the 2020-21 ECHL season beginning in February 2021. Since March, the Walleye have worked tirelessly with the Lucas County Health Department and the State of Ohio to get hockey back to the Huntington Center. As we continue to do so, we’re appreciative of the ECHL Board of Governors and the PHPA to allow for additional time to plan and execute a 2020-21 season for the Walleye and our fans in a safe and responsible manner.Neil Neukam, Walleye Executive Vice President & General ManagerWe are grateful to be given the opportunity to play and understand this season will be like no other. During this time I will continue to work with the ECHL to ensure our return to the Huntington Center is done with the utmost adherence to the heath and safety protocols necessary for our team’s well-being.Dan Watson, Walleye Head Coach
Additionally, the ECHL announced on Monday that the Cincinnati Cyclones, Idaho Steelheads and Kalamazoo Wings will be suspending play for the 2020-21 ECHL season under the league’s policy for COVID-19. All teams are set to return in the 2021-22 ECHL season. This decision for our clubs was immensely difficult amidst the everchanging landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic and the inability to return to play throughout our various jurisdictions. We look forward to returning fans and ECHL hockey in these great markets as they shift their focus to the 2021-22 season.Ryan Crelin, ECHL Commissioner
Under the terms of the ECHL/PHPA Collective Bargaining Agreement, all players who have signed ECHL contracts with Cincinnati, Idaho and Kalamazoo are free agents for the 2020-21 season immediately.
