Access Statement

Huntington Center works diligently to provide easy access to our guests with disabilities. We recognize the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and make every effort to comply with both ADA and state accessibility mandates. Purchasing Tickets in Accessible Seating Areas, Visually Impaired or Hearing Impaired Areas

Accessible seating for guests who use wheelchairs and have limited mobility are available throughout Huntington Center and based on event configuration. Tickets in the accessible seating areas can be purchased directly through the Huntington Center box office, or www.ticketmaster.com

Depending upon time of purchase, tickets can either be mailed or, if close to the event date, picked up upon arrival at the box office window, located on the Jefferson Ave side of the building, next to The Swamp Shop!

If you have a disability, including a visual or hearing-impairment, please contact the Huntington Center box office for information at 419-321-5007. But tickets can’t be purchased over the phone.

Assistive Listening Devices

Qualified sign language interpreters, and other auxiliary aids and services are available, upon request, free of charge for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing impaired.

To request assistive listening devices, please go to Guest Services located outside of section 116 on the main concourse.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities. People who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities have the right under the ADA to request auxiliary aids and services. Interpreting Services

Interpreting services can be provided by Huntington Center at no cost. Patrons seeking interpreters should make a request by calling the Huntington Center box office at 419-321-5007 or email us Mail@HuntingtonCenterToledo.com We can best serve you to request this service when you are buying tickets, but it’s not required.

We would appreciate as much time to fill the request (example 1 month) but we will make a good faith effort to provide interpreters when request is summited including the requests made the day of the event. The good faith effort will include but is not limited to contacting all local vendors available.

Line of sight – Group seating with line of sight Sign Language Interpreters can be coordinated.

What are the Options for Parking? Will the Surrounding Garages Accept Vans?

Huntington Center is surrounded by a number of parking options. All provide accessible routes to Huntington Center. As with all covered garages, there are height restrictions. They are as follows:

Port Lawrence Garage (entrance located on St. Clair, connects to Huntington Center via enclosed skywalk) has a height limit of 7’0″.

Superior Garage (with entrances located on both Superior and St. Clair between Madison and Adams, connects to Huntington Center via a short walk through Art Tatum Memorial Plaza) has a height limit of 7’3″.

Glass City Center Garage (entrance located on Summit between Monroe Street and Jefferson Avenue, connects to Huntington Center via enclosed skywalk) has a height limit of 7’6″.

There are many more parking options, mostly open lots, with accessible paths of travel to Huntington Center’s ground level entrances. Please check our parking page.

Entering Huntington Center

All of Huntington Center’s entrances are ADA accessible. The primary entrance (Southwest entrance) is located on the corner of Huron and Jefferson. There is an additional entrances (by the Art Tatum Celebration Column) located by Superior and Madison and the bridge connecting the Port Lawrence Garage and Glass City Center.

Elevators

There are several accessible public elevators located throughout Huntington Center.

Concession Stands

There are a total of 10 concession stands, all accessible. If assistance is needed at any of our concession stands please notify the nearest staff member.

Restrooms

All public restrooms are designed to be accessible to our guests with disabilities. There are 13 women’s restrooms, 9 men’s restrooms and 3 Family restrooms throughout Huntington Center.

Drinking Fountains

We have accessible drinking fountains all throughout Huntington Center for those with disabilities.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited inside Huntington Center.
