Lost & Found Policy

Huntington Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Personal items that are found inside The Huntington Center are turned into the Lost & Found department for documentation and storage. Guests inquiring about lost items during an event can visit Guest Services, located in Section 116, within the Huntington Center. Guests who realize they have lost something AFTER the event (or after they have already left the Huntington Center), can file a lost item claim by calling our security office at (419) 321-5001NOTE: due to the volume of lost items, we are unable to accommodate in-person claims. 

Items are collected and documented within 72 hours of an event. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Once an item matches a lost claim, pick-up will be coordinated with the owner.

Lost & Found Guest Communication Policy

Upon filing a claim for a lost item, we will work to match claims to found items. If a found item matches the description of a claim, guests will be contacted within 1 week. As the facility is cleaned after events, items are collected at various times throughout the following week. Guests are prohibited from returning to the facility to search for and retrieve their item that was lost.

Items that are found at The Huntington Center are properly documented and stored. Holding times vary based on item category.

Unclaimed Items Policy at the Huntington Center

Please note these holding times for unclaimed items.

  • Phones, iPads, Tablets – Held for 60 days before donation.
  • Wallets – Physical wallets are donated after 30 days. Items found inside wallets are disposed of after 30 days for privacy and safety. See below for specific license and ID information. 
  • License & ID – Held for 30 days before proper disposal.
  • Credit & Debit cards – Held for 30 days before proper disposal.
  • Passports – Held for 30 days and sent to the US Department of State, Consular Lost and Stolen Passport Unit (CLASP).
  • Car Key & Misc Keys – Held for 30 days before disposal.
  • Glasses, Clothing, Bags, Blankets, Jewelry & Misc Items – Held for 14 days before donation to local charities.

Found Items Mailing Policy – International

Guests who cannot pick up found items in-person from Huntington Center can opt for the item to be mailed to them. The recipient of the item will be responsible for shipping and handling costs Internationally. For more information, please contact our security office at (419) 321-5001

Shipping Labels

We accept shipping labels from UPS, Fedex and USPS.  Please call our security office at (419) 321-5001 to get the address of our pickup location; along with the email to send the shipping label.  CASH, CHECKS, or MONEY ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
